Expressions office located in Broward County serves South Florida population of 1.8 million.

Expressions of Love Care II, non profit organization services to struggling students, communities, school, court and other government agencies The core services provided includes: mentoring, monitoring, motivating. We offer extended awareness and intervention solutions. Almost half of all referrals to Juvenile court originate from school.

Highlights: 2019 Expressions expanding  programs Implement modeled living program: Youth Residential Transitional Program dedicated to troubled Youths and young  adults.

Oversight for the EXPRESSIONS Mentoring Program has been delegated to the Development. This delegation will provide an expansion of the current mentoring program using established authorities and processes. EXPRESSIONS designate a Program Manager to oversee and advise on the integration of organizational mentoring components with functions of the Expressions Office. The Program Manager will have the authority to oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of the program. The EOLC Mentoring Program plan will serve as a framework and road map to identify Mentoring Program priorities and designates roles, responsibilities, and criteria for meeting those priorities. The program plan will provide a systematic process for EXPRESSIONS to carry out its mission of providing lifelong, blended learning and developmental opportunities for PARTICIPANTS/CORPORATIONS, employees. The major function of EXPRESSIONS Mentoring Program is to promote the protege's (or, men tee's) development in specific areas and to facilitate successful completion of the program. It will also serve as a key succession-planning tool aimed at ensuring the Agency has the right kind and number of diverse leaders to achieve mission success. Specific goals, guidance, roles, responsibilities, and criteria will be identified for implementing the program across the nation and will be in accordance with Federal guidance. EXPRESSIONS Mentoring Program will accomplish the task set before us.

CORPORATION/BUSINESS/LEADERSHIP • Develop relationships with Departmental organizations to address the Department’s need for a high performance cadre of leaders who are adaptable; who inspire, motivate, and guide others to produce tangible results; who mentor and challenge the workforce; and who demonstrate high standards of honesty, integrity, trust • Strive to increase the workforce perception that mentoring program and services are career development and lifelong learning experiences.  • Increase awareness and ensure the program design includes mentoring options that represent the Department’s demographics and diversity. • Provide policy and procedures aimed at ensuring appropriateness, effectiveness, and efficiency in activities, and ensure organizational integration into the overall mentoring • Demonstrate agency buy-in through MODEL leadership and management commitment to learning and development programs.  • Ensure program modifications are based on survey and evaluation findings and/or changes in Federal guidelines, and are in compliance with the mission and objectives of the Department. 

EX-OFFENDERS: In partnership with family, community, and network of care, provides intervention to reduce the need for and length of detention  re-entry program. Expressions ensures youth/adult that requires detention to exit the EOLC Cognitive behavioral Treatment center (CBT) with the education, skills and supports to reduce the likelihood of recidivism.    Expressions educational services adhere to all Broward Department of Education regulations. Inmates involved in these programs work during the day and return to their facility at night  Expressions govern by Section 3621(b) requires the BOP to consider certain factors when making any designation decision, including pre-release placement.

JUVENILE DELINQUENT: Youths who have been adjudicated as delinquent and those awaiting trial for serious offenses, residential programming conducted at EOLC which provides a secure, structured program or comprehensive services including drug,alcohol testing and educational services and resources. On-site or residential home environment settings. Mentoring programs may noticeably increase school attendance among proteges in a mentoring relationship. Cognitive behavioral Treatment center (CBT) Roles of non-familial adults in the lives of at-risk children have been shown to be beneficial in increasing resiliency and success in the face of adversity In programs that specialize in youth mentoring, people from outside a youth's everyday world cooperate to ameliorate a youth's situation, giving the community a stake in her or his future. Mentor programs open new opportunities and understanding for mentors and protégés previously unavailable due to too many barriers, prejudices, or lack of options  EXPRESSIONS Mentor programs offer a cheap, fast way to pass valuable skills and knowledge from person to person.
